It starts again...

I kissed Ryan this morning and said, "I'll see you in 12 days!" That's when his finals for his second year of law school are over! He's going to be out of mind and body for the next couple weeks and this is a feeling I know all too well. It's actually not that bad, I don't mind having extra time with the kids, I do take bubble baths and have special time-outs for me, but that's in the middle of the night when they're all asleep! I do see Ryan, but it's only when he's snoring and/or eating. It's interesting having a conversation inbetween mouthfulls! I like being able to watch a chick-flick movies by myself after the kids get into bed and Ryan's still out at his study groups. I don't mind the small syllable sentences that I use when speaking to the little people that I live with. Anything above that might be too difficult for me! It's fun to have solitude, right?

Okay, I'm not convincing anyone, not even myself. I will endure it while it lasts, I'm just glad that it's only for the next couple weeks! I'm so proud of Ryan, he'll officially become a 3L (third year student) in 12 days! Hooray for him!

cough, cough, sniff, sniff

In the last two days, we've visited the QuickCare office THREE different times! (Thank you, Nicky, for taking the kids last minute, you're a lifesaver.) Earlier this evening Ryanna woke up from a nap screaming about her ear. I ran over to QuickCare and while her pathetic little cries filled the office, we were told that she has a nasty ear infection and strep. Lovely! I thought that we wouldn't get anything, every sickness has been going around our ward and circling the town, but we've been lucky enough NOT to be sick!....Unitl NOW! Ryanna and I are both on gigantic antibiotics and downing Tylenol, and just hanging out at home watching Remington Steele, Frasier and Happy Days. Ahhhhh, to be sick and not get out of your jammies, I love it. Ryan has finals starting next week, so he better not get anything! Carter has teething woes and Dawson is just having a little bout of hayfever. Whew. Could be so much worse.

I will post more pictures of our bowling date last weekend of all the law school buddies later this weekend, so be sure to check back when we've gotten over our illnesses. Anyone have any good homemade chicken soup recipe that I can make?
