don't judge a book by its movie...

...SO TRUE!
I am not a reader. I don't circuit the library as often as I should and I'm not up on all the current cool books. I ADORE Sophie Kinsella (aka Madeline Wickham) and I enjoy all of her books; but if I pick up a book that is NOT written by her and have to take time out of my every day to read, it better be worth it.

I got this book because I absolutely love the movie and I thought that I would love it.

NOT!

I'm so disappointed. They have changed plots of the story, the friends aren't even the same (nor do they even have the same traits and occupations as they did in the book), the main character is completely different (she's BLOND in the book!), Nigel has gray HAIR in the book, the main character's boyfriend's name and occupation is completely DIFFERENT, etc.

The only thing they took from the book was a few names, places and lines. That's IT!

I would completely change the book's title. Or at least have the movie follow the book a little more. I kept waiting for things to happen that occurred in the movie, that NEVER happened in the book. And visa verse.

Bummer dude. Oh well, did you read it and what did YOU think?

Who are you?

I don't know anyone in Banglalore, Karnataka, India. Nor have I been there recently.

I have DELETED many comments from you and I have no idea who you are. You are using my blog for advertising and I don't like it. If you are a friend of mine, please identify yourself. Otherwise, go advertise elsewhere.

no regrets, lots of pictures!

Day two of the reunion was also a lot of fun! We loaded up the kidlets and took off to Municipal Park downtown. We drove through Carl's Jr. and that was our picnic! (seriously rocked) It was fun to see familiar faces from the night before, as well as new faces that I haven't seen in years.
Whew. I learned this time around and actually was quite snap-happy. I am not proud of my picture-taking ability, I always have blurry pictures! It's NOT my fault, it's the camera's fault, I promise. I also think that my poor, ancient camera is on its last leg, so all the pictures are all distorted!

I thought it was funny that the ONLY sweatshirt that we could find was an Idaho Vandal one...and here he was walking into a crowd full of Bronco fans!! (who needs a sweatshirt in AUGUST anyway? It's been so unually chilly the past few days that I had to break into the fall garb early!)

Carter bouncin' with all the other little people.

Dawson absolutely LOVED this bounce house!

He made friends with this darling girl and the two of them bounced around for a while.
I said, "Addison, smile!" And she immediately STOPPED what she was doing and looked at me with this HUGE grin, I was giggling so hard I could hardly focus the camera!

Ryanna was constantly "helping" Carter and he didn't really enjoy that!

A couple friends and their cute kids.

The Bonine Bunch!

The Tufts!
Carter loves pop.
Ryanna and Dawson pose for yet another picture, they're such good sports!

I hurried and snapped this picture, cute little Tucker wanted SO badly to see what was in those giant tubs, he worked and worked to get up onto the seat so he could peek over the edge. I giggled as his eyes were huge because there was so much to drink inside! It was cute.

Yeehawww!

I told Carter to "SMILE!" and he did this. He accompanied it along with a silly little high-pitched "eeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

We were exhausted! What a fun afternoon full of fun, food, and old friends!
