tut tut, it looks like rain

It's June and I love it! What normally would be a warm or slightly uncomfortable hot weather month, is chilly! It's rained every day for the last week, been stormy and windy, or just overcast. It's GREAT!

Ironically, the 90 degree weather we had a few weeks ago was when I packed up EVERYTHING (jackets, hats, sweaters, long-sleeved anything) and put it all into storage! I love Moscow and the unpredictable weather it brings! For now, we're still sipping hot chocolate and hoping that the weather doesn't heat up too quickly.

a puppy called carter

My 11-month-old is a little puppy. He's cute, he slobbers all over, climbs everything, and he will wait by the front door until someone opens it. He throws huge (and adorable) screaming fits until he gets to go outside and find a potato bug to eat.

If he can't go outside, he'll go and ram into the door with his head, which causes his head to ache; making him all the more mad!

SO SORRY that these are blurry, but trying to catch him throwing fits while holding still just isn't a possibility. (plus, it's so cute and I regret to say that I'm giggling while taking the pictures)

Of course, afterwards we go outside and find dirt to play with and all is right with the world again!

it's a bird, it's a plane...

It's SUPER DAWSON! I found these awesome jammies for $5 at Ross a couple months ago, and I have waited for it to warm up enough for him to wear them. He LOVES them! I never realized the ability to change an ordinary kid into a superhero with a simple cape before! He jumps from the highest point flying through the air, rescues innocent cars that have strayed into the pathway of the Evil Vaccuum, and performs other heroics.

Finally, after DAYS of saving the world, inevitably the time comes that every superhero dreads....the removal of the suit for laundering!

last day of kindergarten

It's over! Her last day of Kindergarten was today and she is so sad! She just adores her teacher. (Thankfully, her only consolation is that she's also in our ward, so we still will see her at church!) She has grown so much this year and she can't wait until first grade!

tie-dye baby

This little onesie was given to Carter when he was born, from our downstairs neighbor. She purchased it from the Farmer's Market here in town, it was handmade by a local merchant.

I thought it would be fun for our neighbor to have a picture of Carter in the outfit she gave him, so I touched it up a little bit. It turned out kinda cute! (plus it covers up the loose button on the chair to the right of his head!)

over the years

I'm so thankful that my kids are such good pals. They have their moments, of course, but overall, they're good friends. Dawson loves Ryanna to read to him and she does every chance she gets. Ryanna loves Dawson to play school with her, even if that means that he gets his name on the chalkboard more than once. (cars are so enticing when you're just sitting there...)

poor piggy bank

My cousin sent this to me, this is what our piggy banks look like after filling up our gas tank. So true, isn't it?
