squish the baby
I put Carter in the highchair for his snack, but before I could get him untangled, he slid right down into the chair and was stuck! Of course, my first inclination was to grab the camera and get a couple snapshots. I just imagine his little thoughts:
"Okay, this isn't so bad. Slightly uncomfortable, though."
"These feet are in my way!"

"Ouch! My toes poked my eye!"
"I want out!"

windy soccer game
During halftime, Ryan told Dawson to "shoot the ball into the net" and since Dawson didn't realize exactly what that meant, the picked up the soccer ball and hucked it into the goal! Ryan laughs and then Dawson looks up at asks, "What?!" Ryan taught him to use his feet instead! ha
We braved the cold (it was freezing COLD!) and watched Ryanna's soccer game. It was fun, she got ahold of that ball a few times and dribbled it, her coordination is pretty good! There's only one other girl on her team, and the boys are finally passing to her and that makes her happy. She's so cute, she thinks that it's social time. She'll get the ball and giggle the WHOLE way down the field!

finished it this morning at 2 am!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! It's so cute, Shannon Hale, the adorable author, is just as cute as she can be! This book is just fun. I giggled outloud quite frequently and I found myself smiling a lot! Thank you, Rita Bunch, for lending me your delightful book! I love it, it's definitely one that I'm putting on my wishlist.
If you're having a craving to live for 3 weeks in empire-waist dresses and afternoon tea, read this book!

This is what it's about: Jane Hayes is a seemingly normal young New Yorker, but she has a secret. Her obsession with Mr. Darcy, as played by Colin Firth in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, is ruining her love life: no real man can compare. But when a wealthy relative bequeaths her a trip to an English resort catering to Austen-crazed women, Jane’s fantasies of meeting the perfect Regency-era gentleman suddenly become realer than she ever could have imagined.
Decked out in empire-waist gowns, Jane struggles to master Regency etiquette and flirts with gardeners and gentlemen—or maybe even, she suspects, with the actors who are playing them. It’s all a game, Jane knows. And yet the longer she stays, the more her insecurities seem to fall away, and the more she wonders: Is she about to kick the Austen obsession for good, or could all her dreams actually culminate in a Mr. Darcy of her own?

one for me
The pictures a little dark, but it looks perfect on my mantle! I thought that I'd be courageous and put the established 2001 in the bottom right-hand corner and I think it turned out just fine! Our Home Teachers even commented on it when they came over last night, I was so proud of my creative self! I think I found a new hobby.

Happy Birthday Ashley!

Happy Birthday to you! Thank you for all the hard work you do in Primary and Nursery, I couldn't do it without your 'behind-the-scenes' labor! You are a dear and I appreciate you so much. You're an amazing friend and sounding board for brainstorming. I hope that you have an incredible birthday afternoon full of fresh fruit and relaxation!

Drumroll please....This is the official unveiling of my sister's birthday present for her birthday next month! This is the first time that I've worked with vinyl letters and Michelle was right...I CAN do it! I think it turned out kinda cute and will look nice in her apartment. (Don't worry, Aim, I'm making one for you too...)
(I did it all! I painted the board, sanded the edges to give it a little something more, then applied the letters and stood back and admired it!)
