irreplaceable you

A sweet friend of mine from Moscow visited yesterday! Her family was on their way down to Utah and stopped in to watch the H-Bowl and I talked her into spending the time with ME instead of at the game!
We talked about the old days, about my other sweet friends that I ACHE for that are still up in Moscow or have since moved to other areas.
I hold Moscow in my heart and think about it every day.  What a special time in our lives it was, how I look back with very fond memories.  The people, the places, etc.  I loved it.  I absolutely cherished every single day we lived in Moscow.  I'm having a very hard time letting go, I'm constantly thinking about how many more years we'll have to be down here until we can move back up to Northern Idaho.
If I can't move there just yet, I'll be more than content with familiar faces from that special era!!

vandals rock the H-Bowl!

They did it! The VANDALS are the champs!
Bowling Green 42-Vandals 43
What a game, it was AWESOME.  I was shrieking and yelling at the players, and they pulled it off with the 2-point conversion when there was only 4 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!

Way to go, my wonderful VANDALS!

P.S. I made my Bronco-loving-husband watch it with me, and even HE was impressed!

got shots?

My head was pounding.  The kids were happy and played around me with their Christmas goodies, but every syllable they uttered sent shock waves down to my toes.  My eyes were so sensitive that I wore sunglasses inside the house.  I wore earplugs while making lunch.
I phoned my wonderful doctor's office and luckily I was able to get in to see her in a couple hours.  I didn't have a vehicle.  I had all three kids and it was chilly outside, butI was desperate.
I loaded up the boys in the double stroller and with Ryanna in tow, I started out of my neighborhood towards the doctor's office.
We only live about 6 minutes by foot away, thank goodness.

I wore sunglasses inside as well, as the flourescent lights blinded me and felt like pins and needles in my throbbing temples.  When it was my turn, I explained my situation and how miserable I was.  My wonderful, fabulous doctor took pity on me and shot me up with demerol and phenergan.  Then she told me to walk FAST.  I walked home as quickly as I could and crawled into bed while the kids played on my bedroom floor.

I still feel cruddy now, but at least the worst of it is over.  My doc says that my tense neck muscles is where I carry most of my stress and along with hormones, that creates the triggers.  I see relief and she's right down the street if I ever get one this bad again. Ahhhhhh, thank goodness for SHOTS!

poor poor head

Obviously this is NOT my skeleton, but I thought it was a pretty sweet picture displaying where it HURTS! Sorry that I've been complaining a lot lately, but my poor headaches last for DAYS.
It seriously puts a damper on my social agenda so anyone have any suggestions how to help them? I do everything from herbal remedies to yoga, deep breathing, exercise, yoga, stretching, sleeping, and some OTC meds.  I am not dyhadrated, I drink more than enough water! I stay away from caffeine until I can hardly stand the ache and then I down a couple diet cokes.
Any suggestions??
