more pumpkiny fun

We all carved the pumpkins, while Carter just sat on one watching cartoons. It was BIGGER than him!
Ryan was concentrating very intensely on his pumpkin, it turned out very cool.

Ryanna did her OWN this year, I can't believe she's so grown up! She actually did most of it herself and it turned out cool also.

Silly boys!

Me and Diane.
Ryan was very proud of his artistic work, it was a pumpkin-headed guy on fire or something cool like that.
I was bummed because this new camera doesn't have a 'night' function. This was actually taken outside in the pitch dark, but because of the incredibly bright flash, you can't see the illumination of the candles. Darn it! Use your imaginations, I guess. It's always a fun tradition to carve pumpkins, I LOVE HALLOWEEN!
Then again, you probably have heard that about me.

who's your favorite joe?

I only had one intention of seeing this movie last night...to drool at Channing Tatum's looks and NOT how he acts.

It's a good thing he's so pretty, because he can't act to save his life.
However, he did LOADS better than Dennis Quaid. He kept trying to be stern and serious and it would come across as pathetic and fake. It was hilarious! Sometimes I was the only laughing in the entire theater! And it was a serious part, but he killed me with his short and stupid one-liners. Oh, it's so worth it to see his HORRIFIC ACTING again! This picture cracks me up. He tried SO HARD to be serious, but it wasn't happening. Oh. The GIGGLES. The hideous-acting-INDUCED-GIGGLES!!

My favorite Joe has got to be Snake Eyes. I'm MESMERIZED by his sweet moves! He's a covert missions specialist and does not speak. He's very graceful and his fight scenes are fluid and super duper cool. I love this Joe.

It's tradition that I go see my boy Chan with Alicia. Seriously, Overland Park is got to be my most FAVORITE movie theater ever. It's inexpensive movies and cheap food combined with the gourmet movie-theater popcorn and it's always so fun. I LOVE being back in Boise where I can run off to OPC. I've missed that. They could do very well in Moscow I think.

Another fun movie that I've seen several times is The Proposal. I took Ryan to it, and he enjoyed it. Whoever hasn't seen it and is up for some laughs, it's fun. It's a good movie that incorporates some sentimental moments along with hysterical scenes; and is perfect for the different run-of-the-mill romantic comedies. It's definitely a favorite of mine. Thanks, Kendra for treating me on Saturday!

And hopefully TONIGHT I'll be able to go to Harry Potter...again! I LOVE LOVE LOVE $1 Tuesdays at Overland Park!

pumpkin patch

The Pumpkin Patch!
Diane and Jason are in town so we all went on a field trip together. I love having good friends and good family memories. It used to be a tradition where we'd go with Holdaways every October and now that we're back from Moscow, we picked up the tradition again!

Ryanna liked the chickens.
All the Holdaways!
Ryanna and Dawson got to go through a little hay bale maze. Ryanna ran ahead because it was easy and fun for her...while...
Dawson got lost and had to be rescued!
Thank goodness that Grandpa went in there to save them!
We got to ride the tractor over to the Pumpkin Patch....
...it was coooooooold!
Ryanna loved every minute of it in her pretty new purple coat from Grandmother Velta and Papa Moe.

Dawson has a new coat from Grandmother Velta and Papa Moe too! Lucky kids.

Dawson liked this one, but couldn't move it. He didn't even move it when he sat on it! The kids have to be able to carry their own pumpkin off the field, so we passed on this one.
"I'm not too sure about this! Don't leave me here!"

He tripped...AGAIN!
MarLeah and her giant pumpkin.
He wouldn't move out of this spot because he kept falling down.
Cheese!
Carter insisted on being held or on our shoulders. He got tripped MANY MANY times over the pumpkin vines and was easily frustrated. Poor little thing!
On the hayride again!
Wheeling the loot to the cars.
Poor Carter!
He was so tired by the end and was ready to go home.
Look at Carter's pumpkin! Isn't it cute?

All the kids and the pumpkins
Carter was doing his "CHEESE!" face to the wrong camera!
Carter caught a ride to the van, he wasn't too sure about it.
Cute kids!

Ryanna was trying to get Carter to smile, but he wasn't interested in it.

Next post...CARVINGS and other such fun. I can't wait to post about what we made out of them! Ahhhhh, I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!
