Dawson has always been easy to read.
I can tell what he's feeling or thinking just by looking at his expression. He's not as cunning or devilish as his alter-ego cartoon buddy, but he's just as cute! Dawson is docile and easy going until you push his buttons or take away his Nintendo!

Even as a baby, he had the Calvin look going on!

Carter, Carter, Carter. That's the only word to describe this kid!

He got ahold of my fingernail polish and wanted to paint his face. He watches me put on makeup so he went straight for his cheeks with the brush. It freaked me out because initially I thought it was BLOOD!

And then he proceeds to be himself all day long. Gets into stuff, makes messes, gets into more stuff, climbs and gets stuck in various locations around the house, makes more messes and then WHAM! Falls asleep NOT in his bed like he's supposed to. He falls asleep with his head on the shelf, curled up in the corner. Sure, I'd be exahausted too if I were him!

The United States District Court, District of Idaho, proudly announces....


..all the years of school, sacrifice and truly giving his all to his education, Ryan has put away his "learners permit" for good and was sworn into office on October 1, 2009.

We took a few photos of him in his new office...wearing one of the new suits made for him in China. He was sworn in on Thursday and was in court with a client on Friday. Ryan's eyes twinkle as he tells the story of preparing for hours, walking into court all jittery and nervous, the judge kindly putting his nervousness to rest, telling him to relax, it's going to be just fine, welcome to court, you'll have a long and successful career...then proceeds to blow his client out of the water. Ryan said it was awesome!
He's so handsome!

He's now a smart and dedicated lawyer in the Eagle community.

We always say that if we had been smart enough to make a list of everything we'd want for a son-in-law and husband for our daughter, Ryan would be, without a doubt, every single one of them. He's a kind and patient daddy, a righteous and loving priesthood holder in his home.

In true Ryanna fashion, she check marked off each name as the judge swore them in, making sure he did it right!

These are our sentiments exactly! Go, Dad! Go, Ryan! Congratulations!!

welcome baby gus!

My sweet friends, Karen and Dan, have loooooooooooooooong awaited their arrival of their sweet and precious bundle of joy. I'm so excited for them and I'm so bummed that I can't drive the 300 miles to see him today!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Baby Gus, you have such loving and caring parents and I'm so glad to know them. You will be loved and spoiled, if I have anything to do with it, so relax and enjoy your new life with them.

To the new Mommy and Daddy, congratulations and you will be fabulous parents. I'm thrilled for you both, can't wait to see him and love on him. I love you guys!! (I absolutely, positively love his little name, Augustus is perfect!!)
