tickled pink

We had New Beginnings the other night and it was a BLAST! I helped make the cupcakes with the most delicious frosting...that dyed my fingers pink.  All 84 cupcakes turned out well...they were so YUMMY!

(I HAD to do quality control on the frosting...so I tasted it a lot)

Our theme was "Tickled Pink" so we wore pink, and made each station from the letters PINK.

P is for PERSONAL PROGRESS.

We played a game about all things personal progress.

I is for Individual Worth.

A goal was set that night to be passed off in a couple weeks.

N is for Nice things about eachother. 

 We passed around a paper with each girl's name on it and had everyone else write something nice about them.  It was a success!

K is for Knot. 

 Everyone clasped hands and made a human knot.  Then they had to work together to untangle themselves.  Such a riot!

It was a total success!

fire safety fieldtrip!

To become a Junior Fireman, you have to learn about how to "Stop, Drop and Roll!"

Then you are showed what your bedroom looks like when you come to work at the Firehouse.

You see where you're going to make all of your meals for the 2 days you stay each time.  TWO stoves! (the Moms thought this was seriously cool!)

Plus the only perk you get is FREE BASIC CABLE!

Then we look at the BIG map of the area that the Firemen are in charge of taking care of.

Then you receive your honorary Gold Sticker Badge!

Then you get to meet the Fire Engines!!

You see where the BIG HOSES are and how they work.

Some of the Junior Firemen were unsure at first...

You get to see where all the equipment is stored on the engines.

You got to hear how the Fireman sounds like Darth Vadar...so COOL!

Look at all the cute Junior Firemen!

After graduation, you receive your Fire Hat. 

And you get to take pictures on the Firetruck.

What an awesome morning we had at the Firehouse!

Thanks for all the hardworking men and women to keep us safe and we especially want to thank Fireman Tom and Captain Drake for letting us visit their Firehouse! It was a wonderful preschool Fieldtrip!

bodily bash

We always love hanging out with our sweet friends, The Bodily's! We celebrated with them because they have been remodeling their basement for months and it's finally completed! The carpet is in, the walls are painted, the fireplace put in...it was AWESOME! Ryan and I agreed that we want a basement now too. 

Ed and Ryan played pool and talked lawyer stuff.

While the little boys played the Wii.

Carter kept informing the adults that he had to go to "work!"

We had to stop and help the boys every once in a while.

Ryanna was absolutely taken with Addi. 

After Carter got home from "work" he had to run a few offensive plays...

And then had to protect his eyes.

Brian showed off his "fireworks-watching gear."

Ryanna racked 'em up and informed us that she would "like one of these." (pool tables!)

Ryanna was just a little mother to Addi.  They were so cute together!

Thank you, Bodily Clan! We had so much fun and are very jealous of your beautiful basement.  (especially the gorgeous color-changing furniture...) You guys are always so much fun!
