it's just me...kinda

I have a dark side. One that requires constant retaining and hiding from the rest of the functioning world. One that is quite, as to put it gently...embarrassing. I am a romantic, I am in love with love. A nice little quirk about me is that I love and read People magazine...religiously.
I do admit wanting to see a flick to see one of my most favorite males, Channing Tatum, in one his delicious musclesque roles.
I consider Michael Scott a friend because he's constantly in our lives and on our screens.

When I saw Titanic for the first time, I sobbed and sobbed. I sobbed during the movie, I sobbed all the way home, I sobbed well into that night and into next morning. My heart was physically BROKEN and I had to be reminded that it was a movie. But not to ME! It was much more than that. I sobbed the next morning at church and went home because my eyes were so puffy and I had a crying headache! It was so pathetic! But the music got to me and I was moved. Deeply and teenly moved. Huh. I still love that movie.

I abide by Lorelai and Rory Gilmore's sense of attitude when it comes to something stupid in my life, as they are both gal-pals as a result of owning two sets of seasons 1 through 7. They are both practically sisters in my family.

I love movies. I love the glitter, the behind-the-scenes, the one-liners, the accidents, the goofs and more importantly the MUSIC.
Having said that, I don't know why I got so happy, honestly THRILLED for two people in Hollywood. (Yes, they are my friends) Emily Blunt in all her fabulous accented glory, and is an absolute DOLL and John Krasinski, who will always be my lovable Jim from The Office.
They are engaged!! I am happy for them at a shot of happiness and who knows if it will even stick. But my dark side is truly happy for them.

P.S. My dark side also requests an invite.

weekend fun

We had the fabulous opportunity to ride in a helicopter over the weekend. It was a hit with the kids, they STILL are talking about it!

Ryan and the kids walking out to the helicopter...
waiting for their turn...
And there they go!
Getting all buckled in.
Wahooo!!
Shucks, it's all over.

These are the looks on their faces when they got back! They LOVED it!
The loved it! They had SO much fun. Ryanna exclaimed that "cars are lousy" and she loved the helicopter!

Carter was too afraid and too little to go, so we took pictures of him on it, at least!

Afterwards, there were other fun activities to do. We hung around,
watched others go on the helicopter, (Carter was VERY nervous because of the noise it made)
Sat in the shade,

Played shuffleboard,
and cards,
Sat around looking very cool,
Played more cards with friends,
Learned how to play pool,

Pretended like we knew how to play pool, (okay, Ryan does know how, I just tease him)
and played Horseshoes.
After dinner we all went over to the Elk Farm! The kids hadn't ever been so close to them before, it was so neat to see the Elk.

These two little guys were the same age and played so well together. They were everywhere together, playing guns, Star Wars, whatever they wanted. They even had their own language. I didn't understand, but it was so fun to watch!

After all the festivities were over, we headed home. It was a wonderful day and we're very grateful to our gracious hosts for such a lovely day!

Thank you so much!

quack quack, smoosh smoosh.

Don't tell Ryan::
*I'm looking forward to watching the Broncos SQUASH those Ducks!
*I'm looking forward to waiting on him hand and foot while he enjoys yelling at the t.v., thinking that the players can actually HEAR him.
*I'm looking forward to the hours and hours of enjoyment he'll be having while I'm stuck with all three kids...trying to keep them out of his hair so he doesn't miss anything. (okay, it's NOT that bad at all)
I LOVE fall (as you well know already) and actually really enjoy football with Ryan. Since we've only been able to catch a few games on the t.v. when we were up in Moscow, now we can either attend the games or watch them on a REGULAR channel on t.v. I'm SO EXCITED! But Ryan doesn't have to know that...

I came into the room and said, "Ry, how cool is that? BSU is number one for the coaches poll AND media poll? And currently they are ranked 14th in the AP poll."

He looked at me as if I had three heads. See? I DO pay attention; he's not the only one that reads espn.com.

Can't wait! Only 11 more days!! Watch out DUCKS!
(But I still like Vandal colors better)
