it's only prose

The rose is a rose,
And was always a rose.
But the theory now goes
That the apple's a rose,
And the pear is, and so's
The plum, I suppose.
The dear only knows
What will next prove a rose.
You, of course, are a rose -
But were always a rose.

~Robert Frost

Dead. Our rose bushes are D-E-A-D. They didn't get watered for 2 1/2 weeks and it certainly didn't rain while I was away.
Ohhhhhh, poor little things. They are dead. I guess that's it for this season.
But....what in the world is that?! A beaufitul rose on our poor pathetic rose bush? It's goregous! I instantly thought of how I can liken it to my life, maybe when all hope is gone, I can rely on my testimony and my faith to get me through the hard times. Or something eloquent and profound like that.

What a gorgeous yellow rose. A yellow rose is a symbol of friendship, so you must be a great friend.

That rose is beautiful. You may be able to prune them, water them and get some late blooms still. I miss having rose bushes, its a military house so I did nothing with the ye=ard.

Thanks for your thoughts on the lone rose and trials and our faith. I really enjoyed that!
