I can't believe how much stuff we have! Our house is teeny tiny and yet I'm finding myself puzzled at how much we have. I'm truly counting my blessings, but can't I count it by just moving and leaving it all behind?!Packing is a joy, but my puzzlement is:
Why does it make an even bigger mess than you originally started with?
The principle is relatively simple. You take an item, place item in box and then follow suit with a lot more items. When I get done filling up a box, I tape it closed and then see a few other little piles around said box. WHERE did those come from?!!
I no longer care about putting "like things together" (sorry Mom, you DID teach me and I did listen) but I just don't care now. I was a rebel today and put games along with my sewing supplies along with some silverware. And I didn't even care! (If you knew me, I'd be losing sleep over that if I actually cared!)
Whew...the countdown is on. This is our last Friday night in Moscow, Idaho. I'm feeling a little sad about it!
P.S. Happy Birthday Kristin!

Yuck! I HATE MOVING! I'm doing similar things and I finally broke down and asked for boxes from grocery stores because my tubs weren't doing it anymore. The older I get, the more I accumulate even when I try really hard not to. Strange how that happens...I am so excited you are going to be closer. Maybe a trip to Boise is closer than we think... :)
It only gets worse when you unpack it and go- why did I pack this? Or can't find something you kind of need (laundry detergent, cell phone chargers). Good luck- I hope the boxes we left helped.
Ok, I am out of it....where are you moving too? Closer to us? We'd love to see you! Congrats on making it through your Moscow adventure!!
I am totally with you girl! I hate moving...because of how much stuff we have! Our last move, we were just moving around the corner and didn't really have to be out fast...so I packed everything we really USE everyday...and then kinda lived between 2 apartments! how bad is that?!! :) And yet, as much as I hate moving, since we've been married (almost 2 years now), we've been in 4 different apartments! 3 in the SAME COMPLEX!! I know...I have got to be crazy!!
Anyway, good luck!! You'll make it!
Moving is the worst. You end up unpacking it all anyway, so what's the poing of keeping it organized:) I try to keep it organized until the end. It is pointless by then. Good luck with the move. Wish I could help you.
I say pack it however you want to as long as it ends up at my house!! Woohoo! Good luck with the move. Get all professional about unpacking so when we get there with all our stuff you can tell us how to do it efficiently and effectively, k? Hope the move goes well. Wish I was there to help you. So glad that our house opened up right when you needed a place to go. Heaven Father is sure looking out for you! How's Carter doing? And are you sad about leaving Moscow or do you just feel nostalgic? What does Ryan think about leaving his home (school)? What will be the first thing you do when you get to Boise? Are you excited to start a new stage of your life that doesn't include sending Ryan off to school everyday? Does Ryanna get her own room? Looks like it's time to call you so we can chat!! love you!
Good luck hauling all your "junk." It's amazing how much we can accumulate.
BTW, a house by your parents just got put on the market, and we've decided you need to buy it :)
I hear ya we've lived in 4 houses in the 4 1/2 years we've been married. Fortunately for us the Air force sends people to pack our stuff, unassemble furniture, load it, drive it where we're moving to and even unload it and reassemble the furniture. Good luck, let me know if you need help with anything.
