will the real Carter please stand up?

Hi! I'm Carter. I am a mess-making, nail-polish painting, always-causing-trouble kinda guy.  While my Mom was sick a few days ago with the stomach flu, we also had some company stay at our house from out of town.  Mom was sick and Dad was busy doing lawyer stuff, I wasn't getting attention that I needed.  I decided to do something about it.

I waltzed upstairs and got into my Mom's fingernail polish.  My favorite is purple, since this isn't the FIRST time I've found it.  I decided to paint the dresser, Dad's suit, Mom's shirts, the carpet, the t.v. screen, and the floor and the wall.

Not to mention I painted MYSELF.

While Mom was basically having a heart attack (the most awful pictures are NOT being posted...), I went downstairs after getting into trouble with the fingernail polish.
I guess I was bored while all the attention was upstairs so naturally I decided to get into the fridge and take out a half-dozen eggs and proceed to lay them around the house.

I laid 2 in the living room, 2 in the dining room, and 2 in the kitchen. See what happens when you STEP on them?! They BREAK!

Mom sure didn't find it as funny as I did! I got into a little trouble, but because I was so cute and because the mess was so HUGE, she could only sit and laugh.  I then got into the sock basket and spread those all over the rest of downstairs while the egg mess was getting cleaned up.

All this in a matter of 15 minutes! I got more work done than most adults do all day.  Whew! No wonder I slept so well that night!

Oh my word. What a kid-and to think you won't be able to pass him off to parents in a couple hours and get paid 15 dollars to do all of that. Good luck...:)

I admire you for sitting and laughing! I think I would have gone nuclear. Nail polish is the worst!

Angie, even though this situation was an AWFUL one, and gave me a good laugh, you still managed to be positive about it in your post. I admire you for not complaining about your kids. I don't think I have ever read a negative post from you. Your kids will look back and read these experiences, and still feel special and important. I admire you, and think you are an amazing person!
ps, I was able to get nailpolish off of Hailee's dresser with magic eraser.

Angie, Wow! My 2 do that together, but you only had 1 do the damage. wow! You are a great Mom...it is evident in your posts. A little magic eraser worked wonders when my kids have used permanent marker or nail polish. :)

Hey, I think our kids are related! My girl is notorious for making big messes and then while I'm cleaning up one she is busy making another and another and another... I feel your pain! And since the common genes in our kids come from our guys' side of the family, I think we know who to blame for these tendencies. :)

This is NOT part of the mother's curse, I assure you! Sorry about all the messes...good thing he's so darn cute or it would not be worth keeping him around!

No way. Wow. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that . . . especially when you were sick :(. You are an amazing woman to be able to laugh at the eggs after the nail polish incident rather than a list of other things I can think of!
