In honor of our 9th wedding Anniversary, my wonderful parents (and Uncle Aaron, of course!) took the kids overnight last weekend so Ryan and I could get away! It was so wonderful.
We started our fabulous date by browsing at Barnes and Noble. I took this picture from a moving vehicle, I was impressed it actually turned out!
We enjoyed the beautiful weather.
We went to one of our favorite restaurants and ate delicious mexican food!
Yes, isn't this DELICIOUS???!!! I LOVE Fried Ice Cream.
I surprised Ryan with a reservation at the Anniversary Inn! I took advantage LAST YEAR of an awesome deal...got this $350 per-night room for only $129!!!!! It was awesome!
I think Ryan's a fan of BIKER ROADHOUSE! The full size REAL Harley bike was cool...
And I loved the set up of the room, with it's feminine touches.
The elegant champange flutes with their logo filled with kisses was so sweet.
And all of the authentic HD details all over the place...
BUT what REALLY won Ryan over was the FREE HARLEY DAVIDSON PINBALL machine!! He played this for hours!
Oh yeah, did I mention FOOSEBALL?
It was a fun and relaxing night away from the kids. THANK YOU TO MOM, DAD and AARON for tending the kids while we got away! Can't tell you how much I love you!!
Can I put you down for the same time next year?

Oh man, Todd and I need a getaway like that! This summer is our 10-year anniversary. We should plan something big, like Hawaii (I've never been!) but I don't think finances are going to cooperate.

Happy Anniversary!! Jake and I stayed in that room a few years ago and LOVED the pinball and foosball tables as well. We played for hours!! Isn't it nice to get away and not be Mom and Dad for a little while and just get to have fun and goof off!! Jake and I will be celebrating 10 years next month. I just can't believe how time flies. I remember us doing work out videos in your basement and just hanging out. So hard to believe now I have been married almost 10 years and have 3 kids, a house, a dog, 2 cars and am Young Womens Pres. Funny how life turns out. I wish you were here to be my workout partner again!!!

Ang, you look AMAZING! I am so impressed with your weight loss. I'm glad you guys had a good anniversary as well. I'm also glad I got to hear all about how the two of you met between facebook emails:) I still have one of them saved because a sentence you wrote in one of them was the most hilarious thing I had read.
