**THEY DIDN'T SPEAK A WORD OF ENGLISH** and I only speak one word (if you can count it) "Hello!" in Mandarin, Ni Hao. I was so excited when we were playing with the kids in our own tongues and yet we were able to understand eachother that way. I knew that my mom would be so proud! I had my own chinese experience here in Moscow! I knew that she'd be proud of me for carrying my camera with me.
They were so warm and loving, I got hugs before they left. They wanted me to take more pictures of them with the kids, and I was touched by their immediate trust, even though they didn't undstand me and I didn't understand them.
Ni Hao!

What a cute little couple. I got a good little laugh out of that one
Wow, how fun that must have been to connect without a common language to communicate.
I am SO proud of you for having a camera at this critical camera moment! What an unexpected thing to read on your blog tonight! So fun to see the kids in the arms of people like I see everywhere everyday. Touched me. Thank you for having your camera!!!!
love you!
I had the sound down, read Melissa's comment about Napolean Dynomite so I had to go back, turn up the sound, and listen to it. I love coming here. It's like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to find!!!
In every situation I am in now, I am always thinking, "this could be a good blog post." I totally live my life now in seeing potential posts.
How funny! Your posts are so entertaining. Oh...I figured out the music thing that I was asking you about. :)
What a fun couple. The Chinese sure are loving people. I bet they just loved being with those little white kids that are so full of love and energy! So cute!
